    DOWNTOWN PARKING

    FOR RESIDENTS & EMPLOYEES

    The Downtown District functions as the Downtown Parking Authority and one of the District's primary responsibilities is to manage parking and enforce parking regulations downtown.

    Downtown Manchester has nearly 900 public parking spaces available for use by our businesses and their patrons. The main goal of the parking program is to keep the most convenient parking spots, especially on Main Street, available for your customers and guests. 


    On-Street Parking should be reserved for patrons.
    Employees should park in an off-street (color-coded) parking lot.

    Parking Permits

    Parking Permits allow downtown business owners and staff to park all day in a color-coded parking lot. 

    Permits can be purchased for as little as $20/month when you buy an annual permit. Permit details can be found in the Parking Regulation Pamphlet

    Parking for Customers & Clients

    Businesses are encouraged to communicate parking regulations to their clients. Consider posting the flier (below) at your business. You may also want to post parking information on your website.

    Businesses with "linger guests" who tend to exceed 2 hours are asked to remind guests to park in a lot and to start a FREE parking session upon arrival.

    Once a FREE session has been started, the customer will receive a text alert before the 3 FREE hours have elapsed and will have the option to pay-to-stay longer. Customers can park all day for $2, or all day for FREE in one of the 3 FREE lots.
