July 14 MSOC performs at Center Memorial Park
The Beller’s Music Summer Concert Series kicks off in Center Memorial Park near Mary Cheney Library Thursday evening, July 14 from 6-8 pm with our own Manchester Symphony Orchestra and Chorale! MSOC is a nonprofit volunteer organization that brings quality orchestral and choral music to the community, provides performance opportunities for its members, and provides education and performance opportunities for young musicians in partnership with Manchester schools and other Connecticut schools and colleges. Bring your whole family to this concert for inspiration, and enjoy an evening of fine orchestral music. Take a trip down memory lane with Beatle Al's Magical History Tour. New City Road is a rock band based out of Stafford Springs, CT, playing an eclectic mix of rock from the 60s until now. The Beller’s Music Summer Concert Series continues with Manchester-based Silk City Strays, a 5-piece band of well-versed musicians who bring their own cross-genre mixture of Country, Rock & Pop to this year’s concert series. Their music is characterized by their vocalist’s intoxicating and pure voice, and the band’s tight and heartfelt musicianship. Expect to hear many of your favorite songs from over the years, with the band’s unique flavor that only enhances the listening experience.

August 11, The Night Shakers perform at Center Memorial Park
The Beller’s Music Concerts in Center Memorial Park concludes the season on Thursday August 11 from 6-8 pm with The Night Shakers. These five seasoned musicians perform a unique blend of vintage blues, including the formative Chicago-style electric blues from the 1950s, ‘60s and beyond. Legendary blues artists like Muddy Waters, B.B. King, Howling Wolf, Buddy Guy, and Freddie King are all represented, along with lesser-known artists who helped shape the genre and newer musicians who’ve kept the blues flame burning through the decades. Their love of vintage Chicago-style blues inspires their arrangements and performances, giving audiences a tasty helping of authentic roots music. Bring your lawn chair and be cool!
