⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Long Gut Miss Pinny has been one of my go-to spots for authentic Jamaican food for over a year now, and somehow today’s lunch might’ve been the best yet. 🇯🇲 I had the oxtail with rice and peas, cabbage, sweet plantains, and plenty of that gravy doused over everything. Man… finger-licking good doesn’t even do it justice. The oxtail was tender and packed with flavor, the rice and peas soaked up that gravy perfectly, and the plantains gave it just the right sweetness. Absolutely delicious from start to finish. What made today even better was getting to spend about 10 minutes talking with Miss Pinny herself after I ate. We were chatting in Patois, catching up and getting to know each other a little more. I even learned that she’s an RN and still keeps her nursing license active, which I thought was pretty cool. She asked about what I do as well, so I got to tell her a little about my business. That personal connection is part of what makes this place special. You can taste the care that goes into the food, but you feel it in the hospitality too. As a Jamaican myself, I’m picky when it comes to Jamaican food, and Miss Pinny continues to deliver. Good food, good people, and a likkle piece of Jamaica right here in Manchester. 🇯🇲❤️ Mi belly full and mi heart happy. 😂 Highly recommend!
