We just had a fantastic lunch at Long Gut Miss Pinny in Manchester, Connecticut. It was truly an authentic Jamaican meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. The owner was warm, friendly, and welcoming, and since it was our first time there, she took the time to explain the menu to us. We ordered from the lunch menu and started with the Plantain Cups with Ackee and Saltfish, which were absolutely delicious. For our entrées, we had the Curry Goat with white rice and the Jerk Pork, which came with Rice and Peas. Everything was flavorful and delicious! We also tried the Soursop Juice and the Beet and Carrot Juice. Both were refreshing and wonderful complements to the meal. We ordered a piece of Jamaican Rum Cake to go, only because the lunch portions were so generous that we were too full to have dessert there! We thoroughly loved our meal and the experience. We’re already looking forward to returning and trying more of the menu. Highly recommended!
