A Trip into History

The Grade 11 US History I class took the annual trip to Boston to walk the Freedom Trail. This year, Grade 12 joined them as a delayed trip due to last year’s COVID restrictions.

The students walked the Freedom Trail, and visited the burial places of several presidents, as well as some presidential homes. “It was neat to stand in John Qunicy Adam’s library and realize that we were surrounded by books he had actually read.” (Sarah, Gr. 11).  Becca, (Gr. 11) shared that“Visiting places that we had learned about in class really brought history to life.”

The trip wasn’t all work and no play! The students enjoyed a visit to Faniel Hall, dined out at Fire and Ice, and viewed the Blue Man Group. “It was an experience I won’t forget.” (Mae, Gr.11).  Students also got a taste of campus life as they toured Eastern Nazarene College and slept in the dorms, and ate at the cafeteria.
