The Down Syndrome Association of Connecticut is a statewide organization that supports individuals and their families living with Down syndrome. Our mission is to encourage intentionally inclusive communities while providing resources and support to individuals who live with Down syndrome and their advocates. DS ACT strives to connect families with other families through our First Call Parent Program, to connect families to resources at the time of diagnosis through our Medical Outreach Program and provide support through our young adult program, the Advocacy Avengers. We offer children with Down syndrome age 5 through adult tutoring services through our Literacy and Education Center. DS ACT also partners with other organizations to guide and educate parents and caregivers of someone with Down syndrome as they navigate through the many phases of their loved ones journey.
