Imagine Main Street’s mission is to revitalize the downtown historic district of Manchester, Connecticut through the economic and cultural impetus of the arts. We envision creating a well known arts “Mecca” including performance, galleries, pop-up stores, public art and sculpture and beautification projects. Imagine Main Street strives to incorporate the rich cultural and historic heritage of Manchester with a new and creative arts culture. Imagine Main Street will work in collaboration with representatives from the Town of Manchester, the Downtown Special Services District, local business owners, non-profit organizations, artists and concerned citizens to create a culturally diverse and creative arts community catalyzing tremendous economic development and business growth for downtown historic Manchester.

Imagine Main Street was created to lead an overhaul and rebranding of the Downtown Manchester area to be seen as a hub for arts and artists. Over the years we have staged dozens of large scale events, held concerts, craft fairs, "strolling on Main" events and created countless opportunities for artists and craftspeople all around the community.
Like many organizations, our activities slowed to a halt during the pandemic. And now a new crop of organizations have popped up around Manchester to stage events similar to what Imagine once did.
We are THRILLED by all of the new opportunities being created and Imagine intends to be a conduit for and champion of the organizations and artists who are so active in Downtown Manchester. In addition, we have the support, resources and reach to stage a handful of large "Imagine" branded standalone events each year.
