Town of Manchester Cultural District

This Year's Butterfly Stroll was held in partnership with a celebration of the Town of Manchester's newly designated Cultural District. This is a huge achievement, and we congratulate the Town and the committee that worked hard to receive this designation.

Since its founding 200 years ago, the Town of Manchester has understood the necessity of art and culture for creating and maintaining a vibrant community and sustainable economic infrastructure. Manchester’s downtown and surrounding areas are so abundant with arts and cultural assets, facilities, businesses, and organizations, that we have outlined two distinct yet overlapping boundaries. The North/South walking path travels along Main Street, which includes part of the Downtown Special Services District and an area designated as an Opportunity Zone. The East/West route passes through the Cheney Brothers National Historic Landmark District.
